Female Connector Technology Principles

Nov 08, 2025 Leave a message

From a technical perspective, a female connector typically consists of conductive contacts, an insulator, and a housing. The conductive contacts are responsible for current transmission and are usually made of copper or copper alloys to ensure good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The insulator isolates different contacts and prevents short circuits; its material must have high insulation resistance and high-temperature resistance. The housing protects the internal components and provides a mechanical interface for mating with the male connector.
